The users of your website are assigned a user type which will allow them to perform certain actions on your website but will restrict access to others.
The user type of each user can only be changed by Administration Staff or Leadership Staff.
Abilities and Permissions by User Type
Admin/SLT
- Edit any page
- Publish new posts
- Edit/Delete any post
- Add new diary events (term dates, diary dates, clubs)
- Edit/Delete any diary event
- Add new website user accounts for new staff members
- Change website user account type
- Remove user accounts
Teachers
- Edit only pages that are assigned to them as ‘author’
- Publish new posts
- Edit/Delete posts, but only those that they have written
- Add new diary events (term dates, diary dates, clubs)
- Edit/Delete diary events, but only those that they have written
TA
- Edit only pages that are assigned to them as ‘author’
- Publish new posts
- Edit/Delete posts, but only those that they have written
- Add new diary events (term dates, diary dates, clubs)
- Edit/Delete diary events, but only those that they have written
PTA
- Write new posts and submit for review for other staff members to check and publish
- Edit posts, but only those that they have written prior to publishing
Deactivated User
- No abilities (the users are kept in the system so that old posts that had previously been written are still assigned to their correct author for the record)
